Expect to immerse yourself in a powerful journey of conservation, social innovation and community connection with our 10-Days of social projects, Primates, wildlife and Community-Based Conservation Engagements. This program takes you deep into the heart of Africa's endangered primates like Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzee habitats, offering you an intimate look at the efforts to protect these critically endangered primates. As part of the program, you’ll explore the natural beauty of their ecosystem, spend time with different primate families , tree climbing lions, elephants and several wildlife while gaining insights from conservation experts about the challenges and triumphs in safeguarding their survival.
Beyond the wilderness, you’ll engage with social innovation projects and local communities whose sustainable practices are critical to long-term conservation success. From plastic upcycling , tree planting campaigns to workshops on eco-friendly living, this program is designed to create a profound impact on both the environment and the people who call it home. Day-by-Day



DAY 1 . ARRIVAL AT EBB INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT-Uganda Africa
Tukwaniriza ! Welcome to the "Pearl of Africa" – Uganda.
You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be welcomed by your Regenerative Safari Ventures representative and later we transfer you to your eco-friendly accommodation facility to relax you off and get you ready for a once in a life time regenerative adventure. If you cant wait, Optionally, there is a Mabamba Shoebill conservation program or downtown shopping at the local fruit market. Otherwise, you can relax at the lodge and tone down the jetlag.
If you choose to take the Mabamba shoebill tracking excursion on Lake Victoria, the departure is at 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm. A driver will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you to the jetty, where you’ll catch a motorized canoe to Mabamba Swamps. The boat will slow down to spot the shoebill, usually wadding in the long swampy grass. The shoebill is a massive stork-like bird with a grotesque bill that looks like a shoe. It is believed to have lived through the dino age, occupying the East and Central African mashes. It’s a popular attraction among birding enthusiasts and conservationists as its under serious threat of extinction.
The excursion can take 3-4 hours and is managed by an expert birding and conservation guides who will show you more swamp inhabitants, including the African Fish Eagle, Purple Swampy, African Green Pigeon, African Jacana, African Marsh Harrier, African Pigmy Goose, Black Crake, Black Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron, Black-crowned Waxbill, Black-headed Heron, Black-winged Stilt, Blue Swallow, Blue-cheeked Bee-eater.

DAY 2 : Transfer Kibale Forest, Community Engagement & Social Project Experience.
On day two, we journey to the vibrant Kibale Forest communities, where conservation and community resilience come to life. Upon arrival, we dive into meaningful engagements with local projects dedicated to protecting the forest and its unique ecosystem. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute by joining activities like tree planting to restore degraded areas, participating in sensitization campaigns to raise awareness about sustainable practices, and learning traditional craft-making techniques that support livelihoods. We'll also exchange ideas on innovative community-driven conservation initiatives that ensure a brighter future for the forest and its inhabitants. As the day winds down, we’ll check into a serene eco-accommodation nestled near the forest for dinner, refreshments, and a restful overnight stay, reflecting on the impactful work accomplished together.

Day 3: Kibale Primate Adventures and Queen Elizabeth Conservation Experience
Day three begins with an unforgettable immersion into the heart of Kibale Forest the primates capital of Africa with over 13 different primate species with the chimpanzees as the start attraction. For this program, expect to engage in either chimpanzee tracking or habituation activities. Participants will walk beneath the towering canopy of this primate haven, observing these intelligent creatures in their natural habitat and gaining insights into their behavior and the ongoing efforts to protect them. After an invigorating morning, we transfer to the majestic Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for a captivating evening game drive. This adventure offers a chance to witness the diverse wildlife of the park while learning about community-led conservation initiatives that protect the region's biodiversity. The day concludes with check-in at an eco-accommodation, where dinner, refreshments, and a tranquil overnight stay await, offering the perfect time to reflect on the day’s explorations.

Day 4: Community-Based Wildlife Conservation and Adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park
On day four, participants will dive deeper into the heart of wildlife conservation, engaging in impactful activities in and around Queen Elizabeth National Park. The focus will be on community-based initiatives that highlight the harmonious coexistence of people and nature, working alongside local projects dedicated to preserving the park's unique ecosystems. As time allows, the day will be enriched with adventure activities, including a safari boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where abundant wildlife congregates, and a thrilling game drive to deepen our understanding of wildlife and raise awareness about its conservation. The day concludes at our eco-accommodation, offering a relaxing dinner, refreshments, and an overnight stay amidst the tranquil surroundings of this remarkable conservation area.

Day 5: Conservation in Queen Elizabeth and Transition to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
On day five, participants will continue their journey of impact by engaging in wildlife conservation activities in and around Queen Elizabeth National Park. The day’s focus will be on supporting community-based initiatives and local projects dedicated to conserving this critical conservation area, fostering deeper connections with the people striving to protect it. If time permits, the experience will be complemented by adventure activities to further explore the park's beauty and wildlife. In the afternoon, the group will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the iconic home of the endangered mountain gorillas. The day concludes with a warm welcome at our eco-accommodation, where participants will enjoy dinner, refreshment, and a restful overnight stay in preparation for the transformative experiences to come.

DAY 6 : Gorilla Conservation & Community Engagement Activities
On this day, you will embark on a transformative journey into the heart of mountain gorilla conservation eco-systems. Be ready to spend the day exploring the lush, biodiverse landscapes of their habitat, guided by experts who will share fascinating insights into the lives of these endangered giants. Witness firsthand the delicate balance required to protect these incredible primates from threats such as habitat loss and poaching. Later in the day, deepen your impact through meaningful community engagement activities. Join local communities and custodians of the forest in sustainable initiatives that support conservation efforts, such as tree planting, eco-friendly craft-making, and cultural exchanges. This program not only offers participants a profound connection with one of the world’s most remarkable species but also empowers them to be active contributors to a holistic conservation approach that benefits both wildlife and the communities working tirelessly to protect them. Back at the Lodge, as the night cools down, you have a roaring campfire and local songs to look forward to, as well as a deep massage, perfect for soothing any aching muscles after a day of hiking.

DAY 7 : Relaxation At The Magical Lake Bunyonyi
On this day, expect to relax off the hikes in the jungles and community conservation activities as you will have a moment to relax in one of the best scenic views and environments at Lake Bunyonyi which is a local name translating to “little birds,” which references the prolific weaver colonies along its shore. The Lake is a magical resort destination in Kabale southwestern Uganda. The lake is dotted with at least 20 small islands and it’s surrounded by steep terraced hills and exotic rural landscapes and the Virunga mountains backdrop. It is popular with day trips out of Kabale or after Gorilla trekking adventures, gaining popularity by the day, thanks to stunting views, a proliferation of entertainment, food, and lodging places around the lake.
Expect to engage in optional activities like boat cruise around the different islands on the lake, nature walks and cultural experiences with the traditional native communities before enjoying lunch with stunningly amazing views. or you can simply choose to relax off in the comfort of your nest with breathe taking views. Later, in the day we shall have dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Carbon-Free Exploration Equator Experience and Transfer Social Innovation Academy/Museum
On day nine, participants will embrace carbon-free wildlife exploration in and around Lake Mburo National Park, choosing activities like cycling, nature walks, or an optional horseback safari, all while engaging with local experts to discuss conservation strategies and challenges. After a morning immersed in nature, the journey continues with a transfer to the inspiring Social Innovation Academy and Museum, with a memorable stop at the iconic Equator crossing point for photos and reflection. At the academy, participants will discover a self-organized space empowering marginalized youth to turn global challenges into impactful social innovation projects that champion environmental conservation and community upliftment. The day wraps up with hands-on traditional craft-making activities and shopping for local treasures before retreating to our eco-accommodation for dinner, refreshment, and a restful overnight stay.

Day 8: Conservation and Cultural Immersion in Lake Mburo National Park
On day eight, participants will immerse themselves in the interconnected worlds of conservation and culture around Lake Mburo National Park. The day begins with hands-on wildlife conservation activities, focusing on community-led initiatives striving to preserve this vital ecosystem. Participants will work alongside local communities, gaining insight into their conservation efforts and shared challenges. Later, the journey extends into the rich heritage of the Ankole culture, engaging in preservation activities such as traditional craft making, storytelling, and other cultural practices that align with sustainable tourism and conservation. As the day draws to a close, participants will retreat to our eco-accommodation, where dinner, refreshment, and a peaceful overnight stay await, all set against the serene backdrop of Lake Mburo.

Day 10: Social Innovation Engagement and Farewell
On the final day of our journey, participants will immerse themselves in the transformative environment of the Social Innovation Academy and Museum. Engaging in their day-to-day activities, participants will experience powerful presentations, exchange ideas with innovators, and connect with the project team members who are driving solutions to global challenges. This self-organized academy empowers marginalized youth and social innovators to create impactful projects that champion environmental conservation and community empowerment.
In the afternoon, participants can enjoy optional co-curricular activities such as visiting vibrant local markets or taking a coffee tour through nearby communities, offering a deeper appreciation of local culture and livelihoods. The day concludes with a heartfelt goodbye dinner and campfire session, where we’ll debrief the transformative journey, share stories, and celebrate newfound connections. Finally, our representatives will arrange transfers to the airport for return flights. We strongly encourage booking night flights or departures on the following day to ensure a relaxed and well-planned end to this meaningful adventure.
